This panel of legal and accounting experts will discuss the multiple challenges that arise when a project consists of more than one building.     Luis Rodriguez speaking at CALED Conference

    Join Luis Rodriguez of Goldfarb & Lipman; David Wilkinson of Northern California Community Loan Fund; and Charles Ching, Assistant to the City Manager of San Pablo, on April 21, 2015 from 3:30 to 4:30 p.m. at the California Association for Local Economic Development’s annual conference in Riverside.


    The panel is titled “Understanding How New Markets Tax Credits Can Help Finance Economic Development Projects.” The New Market Tax Credit (NMTC) Program is a great financing tool for community facilities and community benefitting projects.


    The panel will discuss using NMTCs and structuring and operating complex Public Private Partnerships (PPP). The panel will also discuss leveraging public and private funds with NMTCs and possible pitfalls of NMTC transactions. Click here for more information.

    Karen Tiedemann will be speaking at the University of Oregon Sports and Entertainment Law Forum on February 20, 2015. Please join Karen for a panel discussion on the Intersection of Entertainment and Sports Law. Karen has several years of experience representing clients in the development of sports and entertainment facilities. She represented the Redevelopment Agency of the City of Oakland in connection with the rehabilitation of the Oakland Fox Theater, a federally recognized historic building located in the Uptown area of Oakland, and the City of Santa Clara in the development of Levi’s Stadium, providing advice on financing, construction and operation issues related to the stadium.
