Building upon the highly successful, in-person workshop of the same name, today’s event cast a wider net in assisting and supporting congregations and religious institutions contemplating developing their properties for affordable housing.
The curriculum offered in today’s event provided the unique opportunity for attendees to learn from leading legal expert, Dianne Jackson McLean of Goldfarb & Lipman LLP.
In our fifth session, we explored what legal protections are available to protect houses of worship throughout the development process and beyond. Led by Dianne Jackson McLean, we learned how to select and partner with a lawyer throughout the development process. We emphasized the importance of empowering congregations to recognize the power they have in the development process.
