Get the rundown on bills that have been signed by Governor Jerry Brown and what can be expected in the next legislative session to gain a better understanding of how new legislation could affect your projects. Based on the legislature’s concern that local governmental approvals are one of the biggest obstacles to housing development at all income levels, numerous bills have been introduced to provide “by right” approvals, require faster approvals, and narrow the grounds for denying or reducing the density of conforming housing projects.
