The revitalization of the Hunters View neighborhood in San Francisco is currently underway. Our firm is representing the San Francisco Housing Authority in connection with the revitalization of the Hunters View Public Housing Project. The first phase (recently completed) is a public/private mixed-financed project, with public financing being provided by the United States Department of Housing and Urban Development, the San Francisco Housing Authority, the City and County of San Francisco under its SF HOPE Project, the former San Francisco Redevelopment Agency, and the State of California under its Infrastructure Grant Program and Multifamily Housing Program; and private financing provided through the issuance of tax-exempt bonds and an investor of low-income housing tax credits. The revitalization of Hunters View and neighboring areas will include replacing all of the public housing units with new affordable rental housing and affordable and market-rate for-sale housing. This multiphase project will also include retail, community-serving space, childcare space and a public park.
