Dori Kojima’s practice focuses on transactions involving the development and preservation of affordable housing as well as compliance with ongoing federal, state, and local requirements. Ms. Kojima structures complex transactions involving multiple layers of financing, particularly those involving U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) programs, including the Rental Assistance Demonstration (RAD), HOME Investment Partnerships Program (HOME), HOME-American Rescue Plan, Community Development Block Grant (CBDG), and the National Housing Trust Fund.

Prior to joining the firm, Ms. Kojima worked as an attorney-advisor in HUD’s Office of General Counsel in San Francisco and the Assisted Housing and Community Development Division at Headquarters in Washington, D.C. While at HUD, Ms. Kojima closed and serviced numerous transactions and served as program counsel for multiple HUD programs.

Before attending law school, Ms. Kojima served as the Director of Housing Development and Acting Executive Director of a Berkeley-based nonprofit housing provider and draws on her experience as a developer to help her clients anticipate and navigate the unique challenges of each transaction.
