G&L is pleased to announce the launch of our new legal blog! We will be using this blog to provide timely updates to our clients and the public at large on relevant legal developments and news in the world of housing, land use, municipal law, labor and employment, litigation, community and economic development, and more!

To kick off the blog, we’d like to congratulate our client, the Housing Authority of the City of San Buenaventura, on closing a transaction under HUD’s new Rental Assistance Demonstration (“RAD”) program. This RAD closing was one of the first of its kind in the state of California and one of the first of approximately 15 to 20 deals in the nation. The project consists of the rehabilitation of 144 units of affordable housing on three separate parcels, with project costs totaling approximately $26,000,000. Kudos to G&L’s Isabel Brown, Margaret Jung and Jenny Collins for assisting the Housing Authority on closing this complex transaction! For more information on the RAD program, please contact Isabel Brown at ibrown@goldfarblipman.com.
